Description: The D-55 has been the flagship Guild Dreadnaught since 1968. Thru the years the D-55 has been used in country, folk, bluegrass and rock. This instrument has a Solid Sitka Spruce Top, E.I. Rosewood Back & Sides. All Superior quality woods; the top on this guitar has Bearclaw Figuring, with very nice straight-grained rosewood B/Sides. Features: Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, Bound ebony fingerboard with MOP block inlay / Abalone V inserts, nut width of 1 ¾”, Abalone/ MOP Rosette, Bound headstock with "Guild" and "G" logo in MOP, and Gold tuning machines. A Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup was professionally installed (by me) when this instrument was sold new. This guitar has one small “ding” on the top 1” long & narrow between the bridge and bottom that will not show up in the picks. Other than that this instrument looks almost new.
