Description: Sold To Australia. Ladies and Gentlemen The KING Has Entered The Building! In 1956 Elvis acquired a Gibson J-200 N as a result of his guitar player Scotty Moore’s endorsement with Gibson. This instrument was used by Elvis both live and in the studio, appearing sometimes sporting a tooled leather cover. In 1960 Elvis ask Scotty to have Gibson refurbish the instrument. Scotty requested the name Elvis Presley be inlayed in the fingerboard and ask for “something different” exclusively for Elvis. The instrument was returned with “Elvis Presley” and stars Inlayed on the fingerboard along with a new “Mod” pickguard. Note of Guitar World Mania interest at this point. It is rumored/stated/true/untrue? the guitar returned to Elvis has a different serial number from the one sent to Gibson. Elvis continued to use this instrument throughout his career. That guitar is now on display at Graceland. In 1996 Gibson began a release of 250 Elvis Presley Signature J-200 Models. Here we have to offer #130 of 250, Early 1997 Production. Specs: Sitka Spruce Top, Flame / Quilted Maple Back & Sides, Flame Maple Neck & Headstock, Ebony fingerboard with “Elvis Presley” and Two stars Inlayed, and Moustache Bridge. Scale length of 25 ½”, Nut @ 1 ¾”. “Mod” design pickguard, the round silver sticker on the pickguard is original and declares this to be an EPE OFFICAL PRODUCT, & Gold Gibson Deluxe Gears. Original Gibson Custom Historic Case. This instrument is in Mint / As New condition, collected, not played. To A Professional Elvis Impersonator this is the unlimate stage tool.
